On an unrelated note, it’s amazing to me how fun the combat is in this game. I’m staying pretty active and fighting and winning against enemy troops. I’m on day 283, and I’m not sure if I’m too far behind the curve to ever really get any real power. Of course, it’s not a big enough slice because we declared war against the Vaegirs to “reclaim lost territory”. We just won the war against the Swadians, and we own a pretty big slice of the map. I can’t really get quests from the other lords very much anymore, because all of the mundane stuff is “below my station”. I am a Norse lord with only one castle and one village.
One aspect of the game that I don’t feel like I’m doing very well with is the political stuff. I had a bit of trouble with Warband in the lower character levels, but I’m Level 22 now and my group is a roving band of death dealers.
